Daniel Anastasio at Julliard
Julliard’s very beautiful Paul Recital Hall awaits the
appearance of student Daniel Anastasio to perform his master’s degree recital.

Paul Recital Hall.
Julliard School of Music. New York
City. April 18, 2013. Jullliard, arguably, has the finest piano
faculty in the world, and any of its students can be guaranteed to give a
recital of professional caliber. For
that reason, I was prepared for a fine evening of music while attending Daniel
Anastasio’s master’s degree recital, during which he played short works by
Faure, Bartok and Gyorgy Kurtag, and two major pieces, Beethoven’s Opus 109 and
Chopin’s Ballade No. 4. Anastasio is a
student of the famous Jerome Lowenthal, and his idiomatic and gorgeous playing
evidenced the results of fine teaching.
The program notes gave no details about Anastasio, but I wouldn’t be
surprised if his name crops up again. I
would like to hear him again.
